NVIDIA, a global leader in graphics and digital infrastructure, is transforming the Vietnamese iCafe landscape with its latest GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series and a host of engaging events and programs. These initiatives mark a significant upgrade in gaming technology and revitalize the gaming community post-pandemic.

Vietnamese iCafe Market Rebounds

The Vietnamese iCafe market has experienced a remarkable resurgence since the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. After a near standstill during lockdowns (May 2021 to December 2021), the industry has bounced back strongly. Currently, approximately 14,000 iCafes are operational, with an estimated 280,000 PCs. This recovery is further bolstered by over 650 active GeForce-certified iCafes, with around 200 new certifications annually.

iCafe Exploration Program: Pioneering Technological Transformation

A key highlight of NVIDIA’s iCafe ecosystem last year was the iCafe Exploration Program, held from October 24th to 27th in Hangzhou, China. This event hosted 20 leading Vietnamese iCafe owners. The program focused on showcasing and integrating GeForce RTX 40 series upgrades into their business models. Following the event, many participants implemented these innovations, transforming traditional iCafes into modern esports cafes and entertainment hubs offering the latest games and superior gaming experiences.

GeForce Fans Party in Hanoi: Connecting Technology and Community

The GeForce Fans Party in Hanoi, featuring NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, further amplified the excitement surrounding the Vietnamese iCafe resurgence. Held at Vikings iCafe, the event was a resounding success, attracting over 400 attendees on-site and achieving over 1 million online views.

The event showcased the latest GeForce technologies and provided a platform for gamers to interact and participate in CS2 matches against Key Opinion Leader (KOL) teams. The event’s broad reach and interactive format significantly enhanced NVIDIA’s presence and engagement with the Vietnamese gaming community.

NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack: Elevating Competitive Gaming

Another significant initiative is the NVIDIA Reflex iCafe Attack, a CS2 tournament that concluded on January 28th, 2024. This tournament boasted a substantial prize pool of 120 million VND, the largest ever for a CS2 event in Vietnam. This generated significant excitement and interest within the gaming community. Over 70 iCafes across 12 cities participated, with more than 500 gamers competing in the qualifiers. The final event, encompassing regional qualifiers and the national finals in Ho Chi Minh City, attracted over 500 attendees and achieved over 2 million social media impressions. Competitors had the opportunity to experience the latest RTX 40 Series PCs in the competition areas.

iCafe Certification and GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Adoption: Setting New Standards

A major milestone in these initiatives is iCafe certification with the adoption of the latest GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics cards. Project X-23, located in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, became the first iCafe in the region to upgrade to GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER PCs, delivering unparalleled gaming experiences. The project plans further expansion, with an initial installation of 10 ASUS RTX 4070 SUPER graphics cards, followed by an additional 50 RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics cards for the opening of a new Project X-23 in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
