ASUS Showcases Innovation in Displays, Laptops, and Gaming at Computex 2023

ASUS unveiled impressive advancements in displays, laptops, and sustainability initiatives at Computex 2023. Their booth showcased a diverse range of products, from consumer and business devices to healthcare solutions and cutting-edge gaming innovations.

ASUS introduced the new VU monitor series, designed for consumers who value aesthetics, sustainability, and performance. The VU249CFE and VU279CFE models prioritize eco-consciousness by utilizing recycled materials, even in the packaging. Featuring slim designs and color options like Tranquil Blue, Gray-Green, Cosmic Beige, and Pink Clay, the VU series monitors offer a 100 Hz refresh rate, IPS panels, and the DisplayWidget Center application for easy customization.

Significant enhancements to the ProArt series for creators were also highlighted. The ASUS ProArt Display PA32UCXR, a 31.5-inch 4K monitor, boasts a 2304-zone mini LED IPS panel, delivering stunning color accuracy and vibrancy with 97% DCI-P3 coverage. Its integrated motorized auto-color sensor enables automated and self-calibration for long-term accuracy, while 10-bit true color depth ensures deep blacks and precise highlights in HDR content.

The ASUS ProArt PA24ACRV, a 23.8-inch QHD monitor, offers a wide 95% DCI-P3 color gamut for high-quality visuals. This monitor is VESA DisplayHDR400 compliant, supports HDR-10, and comes factory-calibrated with Calman verification and a Delta E < 2 rating. ASUS also showcased its complete ProArt ecosystem, including the new ProArt LC 420 all-in-one CPU liquid cooler, along with a range of ProArt motherboards and graphics cards known for their minimalist design.

Gaming products were divided into TUF and ROG lines.

ASUS introduced the TUF Gaming Capture Box-4KPro, enabling high-quality video streaming with HDMI 2.1 compatibility, supporting up to 4K HDR passthrough at 144 Hz and 4K recording at 60 fps. It supports VRR passthrough for lag-free gaming, features two 3.5 mm jacks, certified OBS compatibility, onboard upscaling and downscaling, an aluminum chassis for durability and heat dissipation.

The new TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A, a 27-inch QHD gaming monitor, boasts a Fast IPS panel and an overclocked 260 Hz refresh rate for smooth gameplay.

Among ROG highlights was the liquid-cooled ROG Matrix RTX 4090 graphics card, arriving in Q3 2023. This card features a direct-die liquid metal cooling solution on the GPU, promising lower temperatures, sustained performance, and reduced noise. Its bold, futuristic design complements high-end builds.

The ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, a 49-inch (5120 x 1440) super-ultrawide gaming monitor, features an 1800R QD-OLED panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time. A custom heatsink and graphene film behind the QD-OLED panel enhance heat dissipation, mitigating burn-in risk and boosting peak brightness to 1000 nits.

The ROG Swift PG38UQ, the world’s first 38-inch 4K UHD gaming monitor, delivers immersive visuals with a 144 Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync. ASUS Fast IPS technology ensures a 1 ms (GTG) response time. The ROG Strix XG259QN, a 24.5-inch FHD gaming monitor, features a Fast IPS panel, a 360 Hz refresh rate (overclockable to 380 Hz), and a sub-1 ms (GTG) response time.

ASUS also introduced the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless, ROG’s first 96% wireless gaming keyboard with hot-swappable sockets, new ROG NX Snow mechanical switches, dampening foam, tri-mode connectivity with ROG SpeedNova wireless technology, and the ROG Omni Receiver. The Scope II series also includes the ROG Strix Scope II 100% keyboard and the ROG Strix Scope II RX with IP57-rated optical mechanical ROG RX switches.

New additions to the ROG Ace esports peripherals lineup include a Moonlight White version of the ROG Harpe Ace Aim Lab Edition with ROG Omni Receiver support. New mousepads include the ROG Moonstone Ace L with a tempered glass surface and the ROG Hone Ace XXL desk-sized extended mousepad.

ROG also showcased new ROG WiFi 7 networking devices, including the ROG Rapture GT-BE98, the world’s first quad-band WiFi 7 gaming router.

Finally, ROG presented new Z790 motherboards, including the Computex 2023 Best Choice Award-winning ROG Maximus Z790 Extreme, built for extreme performance and overclocking, and the ROG Strix Z790-A.
