ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled its latest gaming smartphone lineup, the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, promising unparalleled mobile gaming performance. Alongside the phones, ROG also introduced the ROG Cetra True Wireless Pro earbuds, the ROG Delta gaming headset, and a suite of accessories designed to elevate the mobile gaming experience.

Both the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, delivering significant performance gains over the previous generation. This translates to smoother gameplay, faster loading times, and enhanced overall responsiveness. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, with its Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and upgraded Adreno GPU, provides over 50% improved performance compared to the Snapdragon 888 found in the ROG Phone 5. Complementing the powerful processor is up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of storage, ensuring a seamless and lag-free gaming experience.

The upgraded GameCool 6 cooling system features a 360° CPU cooling technology, a 30% larger vapor chamber, and 85% larger graphite sheets. The centrally positioned CPU further optimizes heat dissipation. Coupled with the new performance manager in Armory Crate, gamers can fine-tune performance settings for individual games, gaining a competitive edge in any gaming scenario.

Immersive Visuals and Responsive Controls

The ROG Phone 6 boasts a stunning 6.78-inch AMOLED HDR10+ display with a 165Hz refresh rate, a 720Hz touch sampling rate, and an ultra-low 23ms touch latency. Users can customize the refresh rate to 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, or 165Hz for optimal gaming performance and battery life. The display’s color accuracy is further enhanced through a collaboration with Pixelworks, ensuring vibrant and true-to-life visuals.

Superior Audio and Battery Life

The GameFX audio system on the ROG Phone 6 features symmetrical seven-magnet dual speakers for immersive stereo sound and a convenient 3.5mm headphone jack. Optimized in partnership with Dirac, the audio quality delivers a truly impressive listening experience. Dirac Virtuo spatial audio creates a wider soundstage for enhanced gaming immersion. Snapdragon Sound technology ensures low-latency processing for lag-free gaming and lossless music playback.

Camera and Design

While gaming remains the primary focus, the ROG Phone 6 doesn’t skimp on camera capabilities. It features a triple-camera system with a flagship 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with improved HDR processing, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a macro camera. A 12MP front camera caters to high-quality selfies and streaming.

The ROG Phone 6 is available in Phantom Black and Storm White, featuring Aura RGB lighting on the back. The ROG Phone 6 Pro comes exclusively in Storm White and features the ROG Vision secondary display on the rear.

ROG has also launched a range of accessories to further enhance the ROG Phone 6 experience. These include the AeroActive Cooler 6, ROG Kunai 3 Gamepad, screen protector, and protective cases. The AeroActive Cooler 6 features an AI-powered thermoelectric cooler and a fan to direct airflow to hotspots on the back, reducing surface temperatures by up to 25°C. It also adds four physical buttons for enhanced control.

The ROG Cetra True Wireless Pro earbuds offer dual-mode wired/wireless connectivity with an ESS Quad DAC and AI Noise-Canceling Microphone. In Bluetooth mode, they utilize Snapdragon Sound for low-latency and high-fidelity audio. Wired mode provides enhanced audio detail through the integrated ESS 9280 Quad DAC.
