ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) showcased its revamped 2023 gaming laptop lineup at CES 2023, featuring the latest CPUs and GPUs from AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA. These new laptops boast cutting-edge Intelligent Cooling technology and a range of innovative features designed for superior gaming performance. The Strix series has undergone a complete overhaul, while the Zephyrus M16 makes a statement as the first 16-inch laptop with the AniMe Matrix™ LED display. The Flow X13 also receives a redesign, optimizing its synergy with the XG Mobile for maximum performance.

Next-Gen CPUs and GPUs for Unprecedented Performance

ROG continues its tradition of integrating the latest hardware, equipping the 2023 gaming laptops with cutting-edge components. Intel’s 13th Gen CPUs offer a powerful blend of Performance and Efficient-cores, while AMD Ryzen™ Zen 4 CPUs push core counts to new heights. NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX™ 40 series GPUs deliver unparalleled graphics performance with advanced features like DLSS 3 and AV1 decoding. Combined with high-refresh-rate displays and efficient cooling solutions, ROG laptops are poised to redefine gaming performance.

Enhanced ROG Nebula Displays and Intelligent Cooling

Recognizing the importance of display technology, ROG emphasizes its Nebula Display and Nebula HDR standards. These standards guarantee exceptional response times, brightness, and color accuracy, simplifying the selection process for gamers. The 2023 lineup expands the availability of Nebula Display and Nebula HDR across various models, from compact 13-inch laptops to powerful 18-inch machines.

ROG enhances Nebula Display and cooling technology

ROG also refines its Intelligent Cooling technology, optimizing performance, temperature, and noise levels. This year’s lineup introduces two key advancements: a full-width heatsink and Tri-Fan Technology. The full-width heatsink maximizes surface area for improved heat dissipation, while Tri-Fan Technology adds a third fan for enhanced airflow. The Zephyrus M16 features the full-width heatsink, while the Strix 16-inch and 18-inch models utilize an even more advanced version.

ROG Strix: Leading the eSports Charge

The ROG Strix SCAR series continues to spearhead ROG’s gaming laptop lineup. The 2023 Strix SCAR 16 and 18 models feature redesigned chassis and modern 16:10 aspect ratio displays for immersive gaming. These models boast up to 2K 240Hz panels with ROG Nebula HDR and Mini LED technology.

ROG Strix SCAR leads the esports gaming laptop market

The redesigned chassis enhances airflow, allowing for increased CPU and GPU performance. The combination of the full-width heatsink, Tri-Fan Technology, and Thermal Grizzly’s Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal on both the CPU and GPU sets a new standard for gaming laptop performance. The Strix SCAR 16 and 18 are powered by up to the Intel Core™ i9 13980HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with a maximum TGP of 175W.

ROG Strix G series gaming laptops

The Strix G16 and G18 also receive upgrades, featuring up to the Intel Core™ i9 13980HX. The Strix G17 and SCAR 17 offer AMD Ryzen™ Zen 4 CPUs with up to 16 cores. The entire Strix series can be configured with up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090.

ROG Zephyrus: Power and Portability

The ROG Zephyrus series is known for its sleek design and powerful performance. The 2023 Zephyrus M16 exemplifies this philosophy with its redesigned chassis, full-width heatsink, and Tri-Fan Technology, allowing for a 25W power increase over the previous generation. It features up to an Intel Core™ i9 13900H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU with MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. It also boasts ROG’s AniMe Matrix™ LED display.

ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming laptop

The Zephyrus M16 features a 16-inch 2K ROG Nebula HDR display with Mini LED technology, 1024 local dimming zones, 1100 nits peak brightness, a 240Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Zephyrus G16 is a new addition, featuring up to an Intel Core i9 13900H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, along with a 16-inch 2K 240Hz ROG Nebula Display. The Zephyrus G14 gets upgraded with AMD Ryzen™ Zen 4 CPUs and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. It also features the first 14-inch ROG Nebula HDR display.

The Zephyrus Duo 16, ROG’s dual-screen laptop, features updated AMD Ryzen Zen 4 CPUs and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with MUX Switch.

ROG Flow: Pushing Creative Boundaries

The ROG Flow X13 receives a significant performance boost with AMD Ryzen Zen 4 CPUs and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. Liquid metal cooling, up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a redesigned chassis with a larger 75Wh battery further enhance its capabilities.

ROG Flow X13 gaming laptop

The Flow X16 is updated with an Intel Core i9 13900H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with MUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. It also features a Mini LED ROG Nebula HDR display. Both Flow models utilize Corning® Gorilla® Glass DXC for increased durability and reduced reflections.

ROG Flow X16 and XG Mobile

The ROG XG Mobile external GPU, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with a 175W TGP, continues to provide a powerful and portable graphics solution for the Flow series.
