Samsung’s One UI 7 update is going to give your Galaxy phone a major makeover – and it’s almost here

The beta launch of Samsung’s One UI 7, based on Android 15, could be just days away. Leaks have revealed that the update could bring huge design changes to the interface of your Galaxy phone.

The new interface will feature rounded icons with gradients and shadows, creating a more 3D effect. The rounded look will be applied to menus, Quick Actions, the notification panel, and the settings screens.

Samsung is also reportedly experimenting with a Dynamic Island of its own, similar to the iPhone. This could involve a pill-shaped cutout at the top of the screen that shows notifications and other information.

The camera app is also being redesigned, with all major controls moved to the bottom for easier one-handed use. Other features include smoother animations and separate panes for notifications and settings.

While the update is expected to be launched soon, it’s likely to be in beta form for a while, as it is currently full of bugs and “almost unusable.”
