Acer introduced the next generation of its Swift X laptops at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. These new models, available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions, boast a slim and lightweight design, while packing powerful discrete graphics aimed at creative professionals and gamers.

Powerful Performance in a Portable Package

The 14-inch Swift X (SFX14-51G) weighs just 1.4 kg and is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 14 cores (6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores). It features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card, delivering ample performance for demanding tasks like gaming and video editing. Acer’s thermal design includes a single fan, air-inlet keyboard, and dual heat pipes to ensure optimal performance under heavy workloads. Co-engineered with Intel, this compact device meets Intel Evo standards, offering fast responsiveness, instant wake, impressive battery life, and fast charging capabilities.

Meanwhile, the 16-inch Swift X (SFX16-52G) is equipped with 12th Gen Intel Core processors and the latest Intel Arc GPUs. The larger chassis allows for enhanced cooling, featuring an additional fan compared to the 14-inch model, along with dual copper heat pipes, an air-inlet keyboard, and larger exhaust vents.

Both Swift X models run Windows 11 and feature 16:10 aspect ratio IPS displays with a resolution of 2240×1600 pixels for the 14-inch version and 2560×1600 pixels (WQXGA) for the 16-inch version. They boast slim bezels with a 92.22% screen-to-body ratio. Combined with 100% sRGB color coverage and a peak brightness of up to 400 nits, the Swift X delivers vivid colors and sharp visuals. Acer’s BluelightShield technology reduces eye strain during extended use, while Acer ExaColor and Acer Color Intelligence further enhance color accuracy and vibrancy.

Connectivity and Advanced Features

The Swift X laptops offer up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. They also feature Intel Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) for faster and more stable wireless connectivity. A comprehensive selection of ports includes two Thunderbolt 4-enabled Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a fingerprint reader for secure login via Windows Hello.
