ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched the ROG Strix SCAR 15 gaming laptop, featuring 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, in Vietnam. This release marks a significant upgrade from the previous STRIX SCAR 15 model, boasting cutting-edge components and advanced cooling solutions.

The ROG Strix SCAR 15 comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and offers configurations with up to a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3080Ti GPU with a 150W TGP, delivering top-tier gaming performance.

Enhanced Performance with 12th Gen Intel

The 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900H boasts a hybrid architecture with 14 cores and 20 threads, combining Performance-cores (P-cores) and Efficient-cores (E-cores). This innovative design provides a significant performance boost, achieving up to 25% higher single-core and 43% higher multi-core performance compared to the previous generation, as measured by Cinebench R20 benchmarks.

Real-world testing on models featuring the Intel Core i7-12700H available in Vietnam has also shown impressive results. These benchmarks demonstrate a performance increase of 10% to 50% over the previous generation’s Intel Core i7-11700H, depending on the specific task.

Blazing Fast Storage and Memory

Equipped with DDR5 RAM clocked at up to 4800MHz and a PCIe Gen 4×4 SSD, the ROG Strix SCAR 15 offers lightning-fast responsiveness, application loading times, and data transfer speeds, enhancing gaming, content creation, and entertainment experiences.

MUX Switch for Optimized Gaming

Many modern gaming laptops route the discrete GPU’s output through the integrated graphics, prioritizing battery life over performance. The ROG Strix SCAR 15 eliminates this bottleneck with a MUX Switch. This feature allows direct GPU connection to the display, minimizing latency and boosting gaming performance by up to 15% on average, and as high as 43% in titles like Rainbow Six Siege. Users can easily switch back to integrated graphics via the Armoury Crate software for improved battery life during travel, office work, or casual entertainment.

Advanced Cooling Technology

The ROG Strix SCAR 15 features ROG’s enhanced Intelligent Cooling™ technology, including Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal compound. This advanced compound lowers CPU temperatures by up to 15°C compared to traditional thermal paste, ensuring sustained performance, extended fan lifespan, and quieter operation during gaming.

The laptop also incorporates 84-blade Arc Flow™ fans, reducing noise and turbulence. Four large heat vents and ROG’s exclusive anti-dust technology further enhance cooling efficiency. When CPU and GPU temperatures drop below 60°C, the 0dB Ambient Cooling mode activates, silently shutting down the fans.

Immersive Display and Audio

The ROG Strix SCAR 15 boasts a 2K IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time, coupled with Adaptive-Sync technology. This high-performance display eliminates screen tearing and provides a competitive edge for esports gamers.

Customizable RGB Lighting

The ROG Strix SCAR 15 features customizable RGB lighting, including a translucent keyboard deck showcasing internal components, per-key RGB lighting with Aura Sync support, and a glowing ROG Fearless Eye logo.
