Dell, building on the success of the Dell Gaming Championship Vietnam 2019, hosted the “Clash of Roses,” an all-female League of Legends tournament, from September 12th to October 20th, 2020. This groundbreaking event showcased the talent and competitive spirit of female esports athletes in Vietnam.

The “Clash of Roses,” sponsored by Dell in partnership with Intel and distributors Synnex FPT Gaming and Vien Son Computer, offered a unique platform for female gamers to demonstrate their skills, teamwork, and strategic prowess. The online tournament, held from September 12th to October 20th, 2020, attracted 32 teams and featured commentary from popular esports personalities. Beyond the main competition, “Clash of Roses” included engaging side events like “Miss Dell Gaming” and “Couple’s Clash,” contributing to the overall excitement. The tournament boasted a total prize pool of 150 million VND.

According to Nguyen Tuan Cuong, Marketing Director of Dell Vietnam, “In addition to enhancing the gaming experience across our product lines, Dell has been seriously investing in community-focused initiatives for gamers in recent years.” This commitment is evident in the “Clash of Roses” tournament and other programs supporting the Vietnamese esports scene.

Following the success of the Dell Gaming Championship Vietnam 2019, Dell Vietnam has actively cultivated and expanded the Dell Gaming Community, catering to esports enthusiasts. The Dell Gaming Academy, another impactful initiative, provides specialized knowledge and career guidance for aspiring gamers and streamers. This program, featuring industry experts like Manh An and Ling Cao Thu, has achieved significant recognition.

After two intense rounds of competition, the “Clash of Roses” culminated in the grand finals on October 20th, 2020, coinciding with Vietnamese Women’s Day. The final match pitted Cheems against MediM Ladies, the top teams from the South and North regions, respectively. MediM Ladies emerged victorious with a final score of 3-2, claiming the championship title. Dell’s distributors, Synnex FPT Gaming and Vien Son Computer, played a key role in supporting the tournament and ensuring optimal playing conditions for the female athletes.

The “Clash of Roses” grand finals were livestreamed on Dell Vietnam’s official Facebook page. This tournament represents Dell’s ongoing dedication to fostering inclusivity and growth within the esports community. By providing opportunities and resources for female gamers, Dell is empowering the next generation of esports talent in Vietnam.
