GAM Esports Shakes Up Coaching Staff: Can JackieWind Recapture the VCS Throne?
GAM Esports faced significant challenges heading into the VCS Summer 2020 split, with multiple departures from their coaching staff, including Yuna, Tinikun, and analyst Iris. The organization moved quickly to fill the gaps, first bringing in former Full Louis player Scary as an analyst. Now, they’ve added coach JackieWind, who recently led Percent Esports to promotion into the VCS Summer Split.
JackieWind
JackieWind is a familiar face in the VCS. He coached Young Generation in early 2018 and later served as a draft coach for SGD Gaming and Team Flash. His experience and strategic insights make him a valuable addition to the GAM Esports roster.
However, GAM Esports’ difficulties extend beyond coaching changes. Rumors of unpaid salaries have circulated, and the departure of Tinikun, a symbolic figure for the organization, further fueled speculation about internal turmoil.

The loss of key players Zeros and Palette to EVOS Esports and Team Flash respectively, coupled with missing out on Noway, added to the perceived instability. While Jisoo has stepped in as the starting AD carry, he faces the daunting task of filling Noway’s shoes and proving his own capabilities. These setbacks, combined with a disappointing performance at the Mid-Season Showdown, have left many questioning GAM Esports’ chances of a resurgence in the Summer Split.
The VCS Summer Split 2020 kicks off this weekend, and GAM Esports faces a tough opening match against EVOS Esports on June 20th. With a revamped coaching staff and a roster looking to prove themselves, all eyes will be on GAM Esports to see if they can overcome their challenges and reclaim their position at the top of the VCS. Can JackieWind be the catalyst for their return to glory? Only time will tell.
