Lexar, a leading global brand in memory solutions, showcased its latest product lineup, including internal SSDs, DRAM, portable SSDs, and other cutting-edge offerings at Computex 2024, held from June 4th to 7th at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei.

Computex 2024, themed “Connecting AI,” provided a platform for leading brands to demonstrate their latest innovations. With the increasing prevalence of AI applications in everyday life, user demand for high-performance storage solutions is growing rapidly. Internal SSDs: Powering the Next Generation of Computing

Lexar unveiled four new internal SSDs at the exhibition. The Lexar Professional NM1090 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 NVMe SSD will be available in capacities ranging from 1TB to 4TB, boasting read speeds of up to 12,000 MB/s and write speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s. This makes it an ideal choice for gamers and professionals handling demanding workloads with minimal CPU resource usage. Its integrated heatsink with RGB fan cooling ensures stable operation and maintains optimal temperatures.

The PLAY 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD with heatsink is designed to meet the official PlayStation 5 configuration recommendations, elevating the gaming experience. It delivers exceptional performance with read speeds up to 7,400 MB/s and write speeds up to 6,500 MB/s, nearly twice as fast as standard PCIe Gen3 SSDs. It offers capacities up to 8TB, the highest among competing products in this segment.

Lexar also introduced two next-generation PCIe Gen5 SSDs: the Lexar Professional NM990 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 NVMe SSD and the Lexar Professional NM980 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5x4 NVMe SSD. The NM990 provides extreme speed with read speeds up to 14GB/s and write speeds up to 12GB/s in a compact design. The NM980 features a low-power mode for cooler temperatures and reduced power consumption, making it suitable for laptop users.

High-Performance Memory: ARES RGB DDR5

Lexar showcased the ARES RGB DDR5 desktop memory line, featuring premium SK Hynix DRAM chips and “Lexar EmPowered by SK Hynix” certification. This memory offers speeds up to 7600MT/s and 8000MT/s. A redesigned exterior presents a robust and modern aesthetic, while the premium aluminum heatsink ensures cool operation. The ARES RGB DDR5 memory is also compatible with the latest Intel XMP 3.0 standard and supports lighting synchronization with Lexar RGB Sync, allowing gamers to customize their RGB lighting.

Portable SSDs and Memory Cards: On-the-Go Storage

The Lexar SL400 Portable SSD is designed for smartphone content creators. Compact and durable, the SL400 offers read speeds up to 1,050MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000MB/s. Its IP65 rating and one-meter drop resistance ensure durability. The SL400 is designed for iPhone users and easily attaches to phone cases or cameras. The SL500 Portable SSD features magnetic attachment, allowing it to connect seamlessly to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max via MagSafe, facilitating Apple ProRes recording.

The Lexar PLAY PRO microSDXC Express Card is available in capacities from 256GB to 1TB. Leveraging PCIe technology, it offers read speeds up to 900MB/s and write speeds up to 600MB/s with an SD Express Host, improving performance across various applications, including PC usage, gaming, and mobile devices. The Lexar Professional SDXC Express Card boasts impressive speeds, offering read speeds up to 1700MB/s and write speeds up to 1000MB/s with an SD Express Host. Even with a UHS-I host, it achieves speeds up to 104MB/s. This high-performance card is available in capacities from 128GB to 1TB.

Lexar also showcased CFexpress 4.0 and SD 3.0 memory cards. The Professional DIAMOND CFexpress 4.0 Type B card delivers read speeds up to 3700MB/s, write speeds up to 3400MB/s, and sustained write speeds of 3200MB/s. With next-generation PCIe 4.0 performance, it enables smooth 8K RAW video recording and accelerated post-production workflows. The Professional CFexpress 4.0 Type A Gold Series offers read speeds up to 1800MB/s, write speeds up to 1650MB/s, and sustained write speeds of 1400MB/s, supporting future 8K RAW video and post-production.

Lexar Memory Cards and Portable SSDs

The Lexar Professional SILVER PLUS SDXC UHS-I and microSDXC UHS-I cards reach new speeds of up to 205MB/s read and 150MB/s write. These V60-rated cards support smooth, high-quality 4K 60fps video recording. Lexar’s new ARMOR series prioritizes durability. The ARMOR GOLD SD UHS-II V60 card offers read/write speeds up to 280MB/s and 210MB/s, respectively, and features IP68 water and dust resistance, supporting up to 6K video recording. The ARMOR SILVER PRO SD UHS-II V60 card shares similar features with read/write speeds of 280MB/s and 160MB/s, IP68 certification, and 6K video capabilities. The ARMOR 700 Portable SSD leverages USB 3.2 Gen2x2 technology for read/write speeds up to 2000MB/s. It boasts IP66 water and dust resistance and a rugged, shock-resistant design that can withstand drops of up to three meters.

Professional Workflow Solutions

Lexar also showcased its Professional Workflow line, a Red Dot 2024 award-winning, flexible 6-bay hub that allows users to customize their setup with Workflow readers compatible with CFexpress, SD, microSD, and portable SSDs. Utilizing Thunderbolt 4.0 bandwidth, it delivers transfer speeds up to 40Gbps. Complementing this, the Lexar Professional Workflow Go is a portable 2-bay hub enabling on-site file backups without a laptop, supporting speeds up to 10Gbps.
