MSI Gaming Laptops Upgraded with 8th Gen Intel CPUs

The latest MSI Gaming Laptops have arrived, featuring upgrades with Intel’s 8th generation Coffee Lake processors. While the desktop versions of Intel’s Coffee Lake CPUs launched last year, the laptop versions are just now hitting the market. MSI is among the first laptop manufacturers to release gaming laptops equipped with these new 8th generation Intel CPUs, boasting several improvements over previous models.

This launch sees MSI upgrading a wide range of their gaming laptop lines, including the GT, GS, GP, GE, GF, GL, and GV series. These upgrades extend beyond just the processors, encompassing improvements to cooling systems, displays, and RGB keyboards.

Previous generation Intel CPUs for laptops were limited to four cores. The new 8th generation Intel CPUs feature six cores, significantly boosting multitasking performance. MSI has equipped their GT75 series laptops with the top-tier Core i9 processors, delivering a 50% performance increase over the previous Core i7 7820HK. Other MSI Gaming Laptop lines will feature the powerful Core i7 processors.

Among the newly launched MSI Gaming Laptops, the GS65 has received the most significant upgrades. This includes a new 15.7″ IPS display with thinner bezels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7ms response time.

Despite its slim and lightweight design, the new MSI GS65 boasts a battery life of over 8 hours, exceeding the typical gaming laptop battery life by a factor of 2.5. This makes the GS65 a highly portable and powerful gaming machine.
