After the unfortunate postponement of the 2020 event, Acer has announced the tournament will now take place online from April 6th to 11th, 2021. Acer’s Commitment to Esports During the Pandemic
Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific, explained the decision to move the tournament online: “The decision to hold the Predator League Asia Pacific online instead of cancelling it outright showcases Acer’s commitment to the gaming community. Given the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we decided to postpone the competition to Spring 2021 for the safety and well-being of the teams, fans, spectators, and staff.”
Tournament Format and Qualified Teams
Teams that qualified for the original 2020 Predator League Asia Pacific Finals have automatically secured their spots in this year’s competition. Acer will directly invite additional teams to complete the roster. These teams will battle it out for the prestigious Predator League Asia Pacific championship title.
Representing Vietnam will be:
- PUBG: GameHome Hà Đông (2020 Predator League Vietnam Champions), Cerberus, and No1.
- Dota 2: 496 (2020 Predator League Vietnam Champions)
This year’s tournament will be divided into four sub-tournaments based on team location:
- Predator League 2020/21 Grand Finals – Dota 2 Asia
- Predator League 2020/21 Grand Finals – Dota 2 APAC
- Predator League 2020/21 Grand Finals – PUBG Asia
- Predator League 2020/21 Grand Finals – PUBG APAC
