The PlayStation 5 Slim (PS5 Slim) has officially launched in Vietnam, following its global debut late last year. This new console, distributed by Sony Vietnam, boasts a 30% smaller and 24% lighter design compared to its predecessor while retaining the PS5’s powerful hardware. The PS5 Slim also features an upgraded 1TB SSD for expanded storage and faster game installations, backed by a one-year warranty from Sony Vietnam.

Sleek Design and Reduced Footprint

The PS5 Slim inherits the PS5’s modern design language, combining black and white hues in a durable, high-quality plastic chassis with elegant curves. The significantly reduced dimensions make it 30% smaller than the original PS5, allowing it to fit seamlessly into various spaces, especially those where the original PS5 might have been too bulky. The slimmer, more compact stand ensures stability while minimizing the console’s overall footprint.

Beyond its smaller size, the PS5 Slim is also significantly lighter, weighing in at just 3.2kg—a 24% reduction compared to the original PS5. This lighter weight enhances portability, making it easier to move the console when needed.

Expanded Storage with a 1TB SSD

The PS5 Slim comes equipped with a 1TB SSD, a substantial upgrade from the original PS5’s 825GB. This expanded storage capacity allows users to install more games without needing to purchase additional storage. The SSD’s lightning-fast speed enables near-instantaneous game loading, ensuring a smoother and more seamless gaming experience.

Powerful Performance, Inherited from PS5

Despite its smaller size, the PS5 Slim retains the full power of the PS5’s hardware. The combination of a custom CPU, GPU, and SSD redefines the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 platform. Like the original PS5, the Slim version features an Oberon GPU (AMD) coupled with GDDR6 memory with a 448 GB/s bandwidth. With 36 Navi compute units running at 2.23 GHz, the GPU delivers approximately 10.3 TFLOPs of power. This ensures the PS5 Slim can handle demanding modern games with stunning graphics and advanced visual effects, meeting the needs of even the most discerning gamers.

Optimized for Bravia TVs and Immersive Gaming

The PS5 Slim is optimized for use with Bravia TVs, creating the ultimate gaming ecosystem. Games are rendered in crisp 4K resolution with HDR support, delivering incredibly vibrant colors and a wide color gamut. Smooth motion is guaranteed with high frame rates, reaching up to 120 fps on compatible 4K TVs.

Immersive Graphics and Backwards Compatibility

The PS5 Slim immerses players in breathtaking visuals, leveraging technologies like Ray Tracing to create realistic shadows and reflections. Furthermore, it boasts backward compatibility with over 4,000 PS4 and PS VR games. The Game Boost feature enhances the performance of select PS4 and PS VR titles, allowing for smoother frame rates.

Warranty and Official Distribution

The PS5 Slim is officially distributed in Vietnam by Sony Vietnam, guaranteeing authenticity and quality. All official units come with a one-year warranty and technical support, backed by a warranty card from Sony Vietnam. It’s important to note that Sony Vietnam will not provide warranty or repair services (including paid services) for consoles not officially distributed in Vietnam.
