The Yomost VFL Spring 2022 boasts a prize pool of over 4.1 billion Vietnamese dong (approximately $175,000 USD), a figure that continues to grow each season, demonstrating the growth of Free Fire in Vietnam and the Vietnamese esports scene as a whole.
The championship team takes home 750 million Vietnamese dong (approximately $32,000 USD) and a ticket to the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2022 Sentosa—Free Fire’s largest international professional tournament. The runner-up also secures a spot in the FFWS 2022 Sentosa Play-Ins.
After six weeks of intense competition in the group stage, the 12 finalists for the Yomost VFL Spring 2022 were determined. Notably, all the major teams, including HQ Esports, Team Flash, and HEAVY, made the cut.
Team Flash in action
From the first match, Team Flash excelled with their motorcycle reconnaissance tactics and strategic movements. Despite losing Game 2 to HEAVY, Game 3 to BDĐH, and Game 4 to BOX, Team Flash quickly regained their composure and secured Booyah victories in three consecutive games—Game 5, Game 6, and Game 7—to claim the overall championship of the spring tournament and the 750 million Vietnamese dong grand prize.
