Steam Deck Now Available Without Reservation

Valve has announced that the Steam Deck handheld gaming PC is now available to purchase without a reservation. Previously, a reservation system was in place to manage the initial rollout and limit delivery quantities. Now, customers can expect to receive their Steam Deck within one to two weeks of placing an order.

Valve stated they have fulfilled all existing reservations and ramped up production significantly, ensuring readily available stock. However, they cautioned that if orders exceed production capacity, they will reinstate the reservation system until they can catch up with demand.

Coinciding with this announcement, Valve also launched the official Steam Deck Docking Station. This dock allows users to connect their Steam Deck to TVs, monitors, and other peripherals. The Docking Station features three USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a USB-C port for charging.

Expanding its global reach, Valve is also opening pre-orders in several new markets, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Shipments to these regions are expected to begin later this year.

The Steam Deck Docking Station is available for pre-order now for $89 USD, with estimated delivery within one to two weeks.
