Viettel Group, Vietnam’s leading telecommunications company, has announced the deployment of the NVIDIA DGX A100 system, marking a significant milestone as the first telecommunications provider in the country to leverage this advanced AI infrastructure. One of Viettel’s ambitious projects, the Viettel AI Open Platform, aims to conduct cutting-edge research and integrate AI into products and services. This platform strives to provide comprehensive AI solutions accessible to individuals and businesses throughout Vietnam, democratizing access to this transformative technology.

With increasing customer demand for AI-powered products exceeding 90% accuracy, VTCC needed a high-performance computing system to meet the needs of its AI experts and the growing data demands. “The increasing volume of data surpassed the capabilities of our previous system. The NVIDIA DGX A100 has significantly reduced our effort, time, and costs while optimizing work efficiency,” added Nguyen Manh Quy.

NVIDIA DGX A100: A Powerful AI Infrastructure

Designed to handle a full range of AI and data science workloads, from analytics and training to inference, the NVIDIA DGX A100 sets a new standard for computing density. Packing 5 petaflops of AI processing power into a 6U architecture, it replaces legacy architectures with a unified, standalone system. This robust platform supports the development of AI services across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, customer care, healthcare, education, and more.

The DGX A100 deployed at VTCC utilizes the powerful NVIDIA InfiniBand networking architecture, enabling efficient I/O connectivity and delivering high performance for their network infrastructure. VTCC is also adopting NVIDIA platforms and software development kits, including NVIDIA Metropolis for smart cities, NVIDIA Jarvis for multi-modal conversational AI services, NVIDIA Nemo for developing state-of-the-art conversational AI models, and NVIDIA Clara to accelerate the next generation of medical devices and research.
